A study presented by researchers of the University of Vienna during the annual conference of American Chemical Society found that a substance found in dark roasted coffee could remove the gastric irritation and acid reflux caused by coffee. After testing the effects of different varieties of coffee on the cells of the human stomach , identifying the chemicals that irritate him as caffeine, catechols and ` -5- N - alkanoly hydroxytryptamides , scholars have noted also a component of dark roasted coffee , the `N - methylpyridium can hinder the production of hydrochloric acid and to reduce or eliminate the stomach irritation.

Caffeineted drinks comparative table:

heartburn symptoms and acid reflux

How you can see easily in this comparative table, the content of caffeine in the Fitness Coffee® is lower than the normal coffees on the market and similar to a cup of brewed tea or to some soft drinks. To achieve the best long-term benefits it's enough to drink the reccomended daily intake of 2-3 cups of 8-once (or 3-4 Italian Espresso of 2-ounce).

Warning: drinks with high caffeine content will cause more heartburn symptoms. Also bubbles in soft drinks will cause burping and more heartburn symptoms. In many case decreasing the soft drinks consumption is reccomended also in the normal daily diet, not only to avoid the useless calories (University of Iowa), but also to avoid the stomach dilatation.
